Daredevil #79: "Murder! Cries the Man-Bull!" #79

About this issue

Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, faces one of his strangest foes in this classic Marvel Comics adventure from August 1971. A serum meant to help has turned a desperate man into the raging Man-Bull, a hulking half-man, half-beast with horns, enormous strength and a thirst for revenge. Blind lawyer Matt Murdock's alter ego is thrown into a savage showdown as the creature storms through a laboratory, shattering furniture and anyone who gets in his way. Daredevil has speed, acrobatics and radar sense on his side, but one wrong move could mean disaster. He knows that taunting his enormous opponent may be the only way to keep him off balance, even if it risks a trip to the morgue. This issue features the legendary pencils of Gene Colan, moody inks by Tom Palmer, and a script from Gary Friedrich with plotting credited to Gerry Conway, under editor Stan Lee. Colan's fluid, cinematic layouts and dramatic shadows make every panel a joy for fans of Bronze Age superhero comics. Whether you are a long-time collector of Marvel's Silver and Bronze Age classics or a newcomer curious about Daredevil's early years, this issue delivers fast-paced action, wisecracking heroics and a memorable monstrous villain.
