Daredevil #7: In Mortal Combat with... Sub-Mariner! #7

About this issue

Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, faces one of the most powerful and proudest foes of the Marvel Age in this classic Silver Age clash: Namor the Sub-Mariner, Prince of Atlantis! Beneath the waves, Namor's people grow restless. Lord Krang urges war against the surface world, while the loyal Lady Dorma pleads for a peaceful way to reclaim Atlantis's rightful place. Determined to try reason first, Namor rises from the sea and strides into the streets of New York, where panicked crowds flee at the sight of the Sub-Mariner. Calmly, the Lord of the Seven Seas decides to press his claim the human way, through the law, and sets out to find an attorney. His search leads him toward the offices of Nelson and Murdock, and a collision with the blind lawyer who secretly fights crime as Daredevil. Written by Stan Lee and drawn by the legendary Wally Wood, with lettering by Artie Simek, this issue is a showcase of 1960s Marvel storytelling: bold captions, dramatic dialogue, striking underwater scenes and a hero up against impossible odds. Fans of Silver Age superheroes, Marvel history and early Daredevil adventures will find a thrilling, nostalgic read here. Start reading online instantly in your browser, no download required.
