This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you use E-ComicBooks (https://www.e-comicbooks.com).

1. Data controller

2. What data we process

• Account and orders: email address, name, order history, purchased comics and reading progress.
• Print delivery: recipient name, delivery address and phone number.
• Payments: handled by Stripe – we only receive payment status and basic transaction details, never your full card number.
• Newsletter: your email address, if you subscribe.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and server logs needed to keep the Store secure.

3. Why we process it and on what legal basis

• To create your account, process orders, provide digital editions and deliver print editions – performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To issue invoices and keep accounting records – legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• To keep the Store secure, prevent fraud and handle claims – our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• To send the newsletter and marketing emails – your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

4. Who we share data with

We share data only as far as necessary with:

• Amazon Web Services – hosting of the Store and its database (EU region),
• Stripe – payment processing,
• our email delivery provider – sending sign-in codes, order confirmations and newsletters,
• couriers and postal operators – delivering print editions,
• accounting and legal advisers – where required.

Some providers (e.g. Stripe) may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

5. How long we keep data

• Account data – for as long as your account is active.
• Order and invoice data – for the period required by tax and accounting law (usually 5 years from the end of the tax year).
• Newsletter data – until you unsubscribe.
• Data needed to handle claims – until the claims become time-barred.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing based on our legitimate interest and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise your rights, email office@e-comicbooks.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Poland, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl).

7. Cookies and local storage

We use only the storage that is necessary for the Store to work:

• your cart and delivery details (saved in your browser),
• your sign-in session.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available on this page.
