Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern purchases and the use of the E-ComicBooks online store available at https://www.e-comicbooks.com ("Store").

1. Seller

The Store is operated by PRYZMAT, ul. Kolumbijska 10, 01-991 Warszawa, Poland, Tax ID (NIP): 542-272-14-34, REGON: 200248188 ("we", "us", "Seller").

2. Definitions

• Customer – a person placing an order in the Store.
• Consumer – a Customer who is a natural person buying for purposes unrelated to their business or profession.
• Digital edition – a comic book made available to read online in the Store's reader, without a download.
• Print edition – a physical copy of a comic book shipped to the Customer.
• Library – the part of the Customer's account where purchased digital editions are available.

3. Using the Store

1. To browse the Store you need an up-to-date web browser with JavaScript enabled and an internet connection.
2. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address – no password is needed.
3. You must not provide unlawful content, attempt to access other users' accounts, or interfere with the Store.

4. Orders and prices

1. Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Applicable taxes, discounts and shipping costs are shown before you pay.
2. To order, add products to your cart, choose a delivery method for print editions, enter the required details, accept these Terms and pay.
3. The sales contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed. We will confirm the order by email, including these Terms.
4. We may refuse or cancel an order in case of an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud or a product becoming unavailable – in that case any payment is refunded in full.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods shown at checkout). We do not store your card details.

6. Digital editions

1. A digital edition is added to your Library immediately after payment and can be read online on any device after signing in.
2. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read the comic for private, non-commercial use. Downloading, copying, sharing your account or distributing the content is not allowed.
3. Every print edition includes the digital edition of the same comic at no extra cost.

7. Print editions and delivery

1. Print editions are shipped to the address provided in the cart, using the delivery method you choose. Delivery times and costs are shown before payment.
2. Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties and taxes charged by the destination country, payable by the recipient.

8. Right of withdrawal

1. A Consumer may withdraw from the contract for print editions within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. Details: Returns & Refunds.
2. Digital editions: by purchasing a digital edition you request immediate access to it and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the content is made available in your Library. You confirm this at checkout.
3. The rights described in this section also apply to natural persons running a business who buy for purposes not of a professional nature for them, where required by law.

9. Complaints

1. We are responsible for the conformity of products with the contract under applicable law.
2. If a print edition arrives damaged or defective, or a digital edition does not work correctly, contact us at office@e-comicbooks.com with your order number and a description (photos help).
3. We respond to complaints within 14 days. If a complaint is accepted, we will repair the issue, replace the product or refund you.

10. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Membership (subscription)

1. Plans. We offer two membership plans: Standard and Platinum, billed monthly or annually. Current prices are shown on the Membership page before you subscribe.
2. What is included. Standard gives unlimited online reading of every comic in the Store published at least 90 days ago. Platinum gives unlimited online reading of every comic in the Store, including new releases from their release day. Members also get a discount on print editions (Standard 10%, Platinum 20%) while their membership is active.
3. Reading access only. Comics read through a membership are not purchased and are not added to your Library permanently – access ends when the membership ends. Comics you bought separately stay in your Library forever.
4. Automatic renewal. A membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period (month or year) and the price of the plan is charged to your payment method, until you cancel. We will inform you by email about any change in price before it applies to you.
5. Cancellation. You can cancel at any time in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period – until then you keep full access. We do not refund partially used periods, except where required by law.
6. Changing plans. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately and you pay the prorated difference; when you downgrade, the unused part of the current period is credited to your next payment.
7. Right of withdrawal. By starting a membership you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once access is granted. You confirm this before payment.
8. Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we will retry it and notify you by email. Your access continues while we retry; if payment cannot be collected the membership ends.

12. Final provisions

1. These Terms are governed by Polish law. For Consumers this does not limit the protection granted by mandatory laws of their country of residence.
2. Disputes with Consumers are resolved by the competent common courts. Consumers may also use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, e.g. through consumer ombudsmen or consumer organisations.
3. We may amend these Terms for important reasons (e.g. changes in law or in how the Store works). Orders placed before the change are governed by the Terms in force at the time of ordering.
