Daredevil #5: The Mysterious Masked Matador! #5

About this issue

Here comes Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, in a classic Silver Age adventure from Marvel Comics. In this landmark issue, Stan Lee and legendary illustrator Wallace Wood launch a new creative era for the sightless crusader, with a redesigned costume that sets the look of the hero for years to come. A mysterious costumed criminal known as the Masked Matador is terrorizing the city. Armed with nothing but a flowing cape and astonishing speed, he has become the subject of a city-wide manhunt, and the police are helpless to stop him. Daredevil swings across the rooftops, using his hyper-sensitive hearing to track down the new menace. But can one man match a foe who turns a simple cape into a deadly weapon? Expect swashbuckling action, acrobatic rescues, dramatic narration and the unmistakable charm of 1960s Marvel storytelling. Wood's elegant, dynamic artwork gives Daredevil's leaps, swings and duels a graceful energy, while Lee's lively dialogue keeps the pace racing from page to page. Whether you are a long-time fan of Matt Murdock's alter ego or exploring the early days of Marvel's Silver Age for the first time, this issue is a vivid piece of comic history.
