Daredevil #48: Farewell to Foggy! #48

About this issue

Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, swings into one of the most striking Silver Age adventures of 1969 in this classic issue from Stan Lee and Gene Colan. Foggy Nelson is running for District Attorney, and the polls say he is in the lead. Matt Murdock knows that if his law partner wins, their partnership will end, because Foggy cannot be a defense lawyer and the district attorney at the same time. Still, Daredevil is happy to help the campaign in his own way. Then he overhears a sinister plot against Foggy's chances and realises that a deadly threat is closing in. The threat is Stilt-Man, the towering armoured villain, who is loose again and ready to strike. With time running out, Daredevil must learn more before Foggy's life is put in danger. Gene Colan's dynamic, moody artwork, with its acrobatic rooftop action and dramatic city skylines, is a highlight of this era. The issue also has the witty, human dialogue and emotional stakes that made Stan Lee's Marvel stories so popular. It is a great pick for fans of vintage superhero comics and anyone exploring the Man Without Fear's early history. Start reading online instantly in your browser, with no download required.
