Daredevil #12: Sightless, in a Savage Land! #12

About this issue

Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, returns in a landmark Silver Age adventure from Marvel Comics. Heartbroken and convinced that he can never share a life with the people he loves, blind attorney Matt Murdock decides to leave New York behind and board an ocean liner bound for far-off shores. But the call of danger is never far away for a hero who thrives on challenge. With a ticking clock, a rooftop dash across the city and a daring swing into action, this issue shows Daredevil at his acrobatic best. Before long, Matt's escape plans take a wild turn that leads him to the untamed Savage Land, where he crosses paths with the jungle lord Ka-Zar and a band of armed adventurers. Written by Stan Lee with layouts by Jack Kirby, this issue is historically notable as the introduction of John Romita as Marvel's newest illustrator on the title, billed on the page as a Marvel landmark issue. Expect classic 1960s storytelling: dramatic thought balloons, punchy narration, and bold, vibrant artwork. Whether you are a long-time collector of Silver Age Marvel or a newcomer curious about the roots of the Man Without Fear, this issue is a great place to experience the era.
