Spawn #98: The Trouble with Angels #98

About this issue

Spawn returns in issue #98 of Todd McFarlane's legendary dark superhero series, "The Trouble with Angels". Hell's reluctant soldier is still struggling to understand his place on Earth, and the heavenly host is anything but united about what to do with him. After the events of the previous issue, Angela has pulled Spawn back from the brink and shared the truth about their new mission. Now the two warriors search for ancient answers, while a divided choir of angels argues over duty, orders and purpose. Elsewhere, a monstrous menace is luring victims to their doom, and a young couple in the city receives a medical surprise that defies all explanation. Written by Brian Holguin and Todd McFarlane, with pencils by Greg Capullo and inks by Danny Miki, this issue blends gothic horror, supernatural intrigue and striking, detailed artwork. Capullo's gargoyle-and-cape cover is a showcase for the era's most distinctive Spawn style. Ideal for fans of dark fantasy, occult superhero stories and 2000-era Image Comics, or for collectors filling out their run of the main Spawn series.
