Bunny

About this book

Mitchell Rabbit was seven years old when his father murdered his little brother Tory and left him with a scar across his face and a grief too heavy for any child. Raised by a mother who drowns herself in whiskey and blames him for surviving, Mitchell learns early that he doesn't deserve friends, comfort or help. At eighteen, he has escaped home for college, but he hasn't escaped Nate, Danny, Chaz and Caleb, the boys who christened him "Bunny" on the day he moved into the neighbourhood. Respected, popular and protected by their good-boy reputations, they have made his life a nightmare for more than a decade, while the adults around him dismiss his pleas as the symptoms of a troubled mind. But the cover promises a turning point: they never expected him to fight back. Bunny is a dark, intense and emotionally raw story of trauma, survival and revenge, told in the first person. The author states clearly that this is not a romance and that it contains heavy triggers, including rape, assault, abuse, bullying and murder. It is intended only for mature readers who are comfortable with disturbing themes. With 44 short chapters and around 48,000 words, it is a fast, gripping read.
