About this book

Logan is the undisputed king of the ice: the NHL's most feared enforcer, a tabloid favourite and the man fans pay to watch throw down. Off the rink, he plays a very different game. Behind the fake dates, the models on his arm and the carefully cultivated playboy image hides a secret he believes could cost him his career, his sponsors and the love of the fans. Far from the roar of the stadium, York works the land on the family cattle farm, with his border collie Zeus at his heels and his black stallion Alby beneath him. Raised on hard work and heartbreak, he knows what it means to carry a burden in silence. Two men from opposite worlds, each living behind their own walls. Caged is a contemporary male/male romance with a hockey setting, a country backdrop and an emotional core, told in alternating first-person chapters. Expect sharp banter, heat, vulnerability and the slow, risky work of letting someone see the real you. Explicit language and adult scenes make this a read for mature audiences. If you enjoy sports romance, closeted-hero stories and opposites-attract love stories, this nearly 55,000-word novel is a great pick.
