Bride of Grendel: A Viking Lore Erotic Tale (Viking Lore Erotic Tales Book 2)

About this book

Winter darkens over King Hrothgar's great mead hall, and the monster that haunts it is coming again. Sigrun, the king's newest bride, knows exactly what awaits her: like the queens before her, she has been offered up as a sacrifice to the creature in the night. Shut away in a cold turf hut with only a fire for company, she is determined to meet her fate without tears. Bride of Grendel is a sensual retelling of the legend that inspired Beowulf, told from the point of view of the women who paid the price for a tyrant's pride. Gwynn Jones blends Viking-age atmosphere, snowbound forests, brooding warriors and the shadow of a terrible beast with frank, explicit erotic scenes for adult readers. What does a woman with nothing left to lose desire in the last hours of her life? And what happens when the monster she has been taught to fear is not what she expected? This short tale of about 9,500 words is the second book in the Viking Lore Erotic Tales series, and works perfectly as a standalone read for fans of mythic, dark and steamy historical fantasy. Explicit content is intended for adult readers only. Start reading online instantly in your browser, with no waiting and no downloads required.
