An Unwanted Mate

About this book

When a clan of dragons has finally had enough, loyalty and survival collide in a brutal battle for territory. Trevor, a warrior dragon fighting at his leader's side, suspects the cruel Ian is hiding mates somewhere, forcing them to absorb his pain. Searching the decaying mansion, Trevor finds Josh, a human so badly injured he might not survive. With no time to lose, Trevor makes the only choice he can: he bites Josh, claiming him as his own to share his healing energy, and banishes the neglectful former mate from the property. Josh is relieved to be free of his old mate, yet he knows he is unwanted by his new one. Still, Trevor is kind, and Josh's body responds to the warrior dragon in ways he thought were long dormant. He longs to be useful, and perhaps, in time, to be loved. But Ian is furious and has plans of his own. An Unwanted Mate is the first book in Marcy Jacks' Unwanted Mates series, a steamy male/male paranormal romance blending shape-shifter lore, angst, healing and a happily-ever-after. At around 28,000 words it is a quick, immersive read for fans of dragon shifters and fated-mate love stories. Start reading online instantly in your browser, right after purchase.
