Wolverine: Origins #30 – Original Sin, Part Five #30

About this issue

Wolverine faces one of the most brutal confrontations of his life in Wolverine: Origins #30, the explosive conclusion of the "Original Sin" storyline from writer Daniel Way and artist Mike Deodato. Deep inside a sprawling, cable-choked machine complex, Logan stands battered and bloody before his deadliest enemy: his own son, Daken. Bitter words cut as sharply as the claws, and neither man is willing to back down. Behind the fight looms Professor Charles Xavier, whose presence on the cover hints at the dark secrets and moral compromises that have shaped Wolverine's past. Deodato's moody, shadow-drenched artwork and Rain Beredo's rich, dramatic colours give every panel a cinematic, claustrophobic intensity, from vertigo-inducing overhead views to savage close-ups. Way's hard-edged dialogue keeps the tension high, with a family feud that is as personal as it is violent. Ideal for fans of X-Men, Wolverine and Daken, and for anyone who enjoys dark, character-driven superhero action, this issue delivers a fierce finale to the arc. It is best enjoyed with the preceding chapters, but the stakes are clear from the very first pages.
