About this issue
The swashbuckling finale of Alien Books' Zorro miniseries is here. Howard Chaykin, Jorge Fornés and Walter Pereyra bring the legendary masked hero to a world turned upside down by the aftermath of the Mount Tambora eruption, where the climate is in chaos and revolution is spreading across the globe. Diego de la Vega, better known as El Zorro, and the pirate captain Esmeralda have crossed from Argentina toward Capistrano in pursuit of Seamus McCool. Their former ally has revealed his true ambitions for California, and he is travelling by revolutionary hot air balloon, always one step ahead. Bonapartists disguised as friars threaten to revive old ideas of empire on new soil, and the heroes must uncover the full scope of the conspiracy before it reaches its destination. With bold, graphic, noir-tinged artwork, sharp dialogue and a historical backdrop of storms, blizzards and political intrigue, this concluding chapter delivers sword-and-cape adventure with a distinctly adult wit. Perfect for fans of classic pulp heroes, historical adventure and stylish crime-flavoured comics. Open the first page and start reading online instantly in your browser, right after purchase.
