Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures #40

About this issue

Cowabunga! The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in a retro-flavoured new adventure in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures #40, "A Mondo Metal Time." Styled after the classic 1980s cartoon, this series brings back the bright colours, wisecracking heroes and pizza-fuelled fun that fans have loved for decades. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo are joined by their robotic ally in a story from writer Erik Burnham and artist Dan Schoening, with vibrant colours by Luis Antonio Delgado. While the Turtles relax with video games, a pizza and a copy of a tips-and-tricks magazine, trouble is gathering in New York's abandoned Warehouse District. A scheming, trench-coated bird villain and his military-style henchmen are hunting for the mystical Heart of K'avila. They have spent two months searching for it, and they have a plan to lure the Turtles out into the open and strike. Their target is a reporter who knows more than she is saying, and the Heroes in a Half Shell may soon be pulled into the chaos. Perfect for longtime fans of the 1987 cartoon and younger readers discovering the Turtles for the first time, this issue delivers humour, action and nostalgic charm. Three cover variants celebrate the series' playful spirit. Start reading online instantly in your browser and join the Turtles' next Saturday morning adventure.
