About this issue
Gotham has fallen to a wild, overgrown nightmare. In Batman: Bad Seeds – Sunset #1, the first chapter of a DC All In event, prehistoric plants burst through the pavement, the city is choked by vines, and the clock is ticking toward nightfall. Pamela Isley, formerly known as Poison Ivy, now sits in the Mayor's office and tries to keep a terrified city together. Across town, Police Commissioner Vandal Savage rallies his shock troops and declares that the mayor is the real enemy. Between them, a monstrous deal is struck in the shadows of the undergrowth, and the Dark Knight himself looks to be tangled in the green. This issue mixes superhero action, political intrigue and eco-horror. Its bold, saturated colours and dramatic panel layouts show a Gotham where nature fights back and no alliance can be trusted. The cover tagline sums up the mood: survive the night, fear the morning. It is rated 13+ Teen and suits fans of Batman, Poison Ivy and the wider DC universe who enjoy dark, atmospheric stories with a twist on the familiar.
